Bath

In March 1999 the first YMCA Out of School Club was set up at Moorlands School in the Oldfield park area. We started out in the early days with funding to allow us to set up an After School Club.

This enabled parents and carers to work or go into further education, we wanted to provide affordable quality childcare, and with the funding the club was able to keep the fees at a minimum.

After some market research and chatting to our parents and carers the need for a breakfast club was opened at Moorlands School, again the YMCA was able to gain funding for the provision to be set up.

Many parents, carers and lone parents were able to gain full time employment knowing that the children were happy in a safe fun environment.

This March we celebrated 20 years of providing this wonderful service, we have also expanded with others school in the area and we run a very successful holiday club during the year, plus also going through quite a few Ofsted inspections over the years!!
